I am a qualified and experienced clinical psychologist who draws upon a variety of approaches in my work to suit the needs of the individual. My approaches include: Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT); Cognitive Analytic Therapy (CAT); Mindfulness and Compassionate-Focussed Therapy (CFT).
I have always found solace in nature and being outdoors, and this personal experience of how it can be restorative and help me to deal with the stresses and strains of everyday life is something that I feel passionate about. I hope to bring together this personal experience with that of my professional skills and training so to help people who want to work on their psychological issues in a setting that is beyond the four walls of a therapy room.
I completed my outdoor therapy training with an organisation called: Counselling and Psychotherapy Outdoors (CAPO) in 2013 with founding members Martin Jordan and Hayley Marshall. CAPO is no longer in existence but Hayley Marshall has continued to provide training and supervision for clinicians who wish to develop and deepen their therapeutic practice outdoors:

I am also a registered member of The British Psychological Society(BPS); The Association of Cognitive Analytic Therapy (ACAT); The Health Care Professionals Council (HCPC). I receive regular clinical supervision from a qualified clinician who works in outdoor settings.
